Global Service Programs: Repairs and Spares

Out of Warranty Repairs

We strongly encourage our customers to keep their Overland product protected by one of our comprehensive support agreements however we realize that this is not always the case. For those customers who have chosen to allow their coverage to lapse we offer a variety of repair and support options.

Pre-paid On site field repair

  • This service is available for most currently supported Overland products and options such as disk or tape drives
  • Fixed fee pricing includes all required labor and material.
  • Physical damage is not included. Should the repair technician discover evidence of physical damage a revised estimate will be provided.
  • Fixed fee Onsite repairs are available in the US and Europe only. To arrange for On-site support in other areas please contact us to obtain the name of your local Overland Authorized Service Provider.
  • Scheduling of out of warranty on site repairs is on a best effort basis and is usually within 2 business days of request. Customers with current Overland coverage will be given scheduling priority.

Pre-paid Advance Replacement:

  • On site assistance or parts replacement outside of standard Overland business hours. Service delivery of replacement parts or on site assistance will be at the level defined by the underlying coverage level.
  • Fixed fee pricing includes all required labor and material.
  • After payment is received and technical diagnosis is completed you will receive an email requesting that you approve our advance replacement terms.  This is done via our customer support web portal.  Once you have completed this step a replacement product will be shipped to you within two business days.
  • All repair shipment are made via 2nd day freight.   Expedited freight may be available for an additional charge.
  • Once you receive the replacement product or part simply return the defective unit to us within 15 days.
  • Pricing for advance replacement repairs vary by model.
  • Items received with physical damage may incur additional charges

Depot Repair:

  • This service is available for most Overland products including many that have reached their end of life and is the most economical repair option. 
  • Fixed fee pricing includes all required labor and material.
  • Our RMA Administration team will email you with the RMA number for you return.  You will use this RMA for tracking the repair process.
  • All Products MUST be returned to the nearest Overland repair facility Freight Pre-Paid and be adequately packaged.
  • If you do not have packaging materials please advise your customer service representative and they can add them to your shopping cart.
  • The RMA number must be clearly marked on the outside of the package being returned. Any package received without a RMA number will be refused and returned to sender.
  • After receipt and inspection we will repair or replace it and return it within 10 business days. 
  • All repair shipment are made via 2nd day freight.   Expedited freight may be available for an additional charge.

All Overland fixed fee, out of warranty repairs must be paid in advance of services being delivered. Most repairs can be paid via credit card on our customer support web portal. To request a repair please contact technical support.

Overland reserves the right to charge Time and Material charges in lieu of Fixed-Fee pricing for any physically damaged product. Customer will be advised prior to depot repairs being performed or after receipt of an advance replacement defective reciept. Should the depot repairs be declined an inspection fee of $300 will be assessed.

All Overland out of warranty repairs are guaranteed for 90 days from the date of repair. This guarantee covers the initial repairs only. Overland is not responsible for repeat failures attributable customer abuse, improper product usage, or application of defective media.
